   Dark cobalt blue glass, height 7 1/4", BIM crudely applied blob top and crude iron pontil base which has some residue, professionally cleaned to excellent condition with no chips/cracks - only problems are a small ding between the W and Y in NEW YORK and a shallow 1/2" surface scratch on the back shoulder, SOLD.

3. J. BOARDMAN & Co / {star} THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD / MINERAL WATER / NEW YORK Front Rear Base
   Light see-thru cobalt blue glass - great color, height 7�", BIM with blob top, can't tell if base is smooth or pontil but is probably smooth, 8 sided, lightly cleaned to excellent condition - retains a light bit of ground wear but no chips, cracks, or bruises. SOLD.

4. BRUTCHE / & / TUCHSHMITH / NEWPORT / KY Front Base
   Deep aqua / ice blue glass, height 7 3/8", BIM crudely applied blob top and crude iron pontil base, professionally cleaned to excellent condition with no chips/cracks - only problem is a small open bubble above the T in BRUTCHE, a rare soda and one of the oldest embossed bottles from Newport KY, SOLD.

5. THOs CLEMENTS / PHILADA. Front Closure
   Ice blue tinted glass, height 7 1/2", BIM with blob top and smooth base, original working closure in excellent working condition, rubber gasket is not even deteriorated, glass is mint, SOLD.

6. C. CLEMINSHAW / TROY, N.Y. Front Back Base
   Aqua blue glass, height 6 1/2", BIM with taped blob top that ring below it, vertical ribbing all around - not seen this on any other soda, front embossing in oval (slug plate?), back has large "C" in oval base is roughed up like a cleaned iron pontil but can't be sure it is pontilled, almost near mint condition but does have a 3/8" rake scrape along one of the vertical ribs - very hard to see unless you look closely, no other condition problems, the "C." stands for "Charles", Keeper.

7. JOHNSTON & Co PHILDa / MINERAL WATER Front Base
   Deep emerald green glass, height 7 1/8", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base, professionally cleaned to excellent condition with no chips/cracks but does retain a bit of case wear, SOLD.

8. J. LUKENS / WHEELING Front Base
   Deep aqua glass, height 7 1/4", BIM with flat tapered lip, iron pontil base with graphite residue intact, very crude bottle with oblong shape (as seen in base pic), circa 1850 from Wheeling VA, Wheeling changed to WV after the Civil War, near mint condition with some light stain but no damage or case wear, TRADED.

9. KIMBALL & Co Front Back Base
   Cobalt blue glass, height 7", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base, professionally cleaned to excellent condition, no chips/cracks/bruises or other damage, base shows some red area where the graphite residue rusted, notch in top of base is a manufacturing mark and not damage, from Marysville CA - difficult to obtain in nice condition like this one, circa 1853-56, listed as rare on page 55 of Markota's book, embossing has been painted for highlighting (sorry - that's my poor paint job), SOLD.

10. KNICKERBOCKER / MINERAL & SODA WATER / MANUFACTURED / BY G.H. TOBEY / CINCINATTI Front Base
    Cobalt blue glass with a peacock/green tone (which didn't show up in photo), height 7 1/2", BIM with tapered lip, still has graphite residue on iron pontil base, 10 paneled, professionally cleaned to excellent condition - a few faint scratches and ground spots but no chips/cracks/flakes, rare soda, circa 1850, SOLD.

11. W.P. / KNICKER / BOCKER / SODAWATER / 164.18thSt.N.Y. 1848 Front Base
    Cobalt blue glass, height 7 5/8", BIM with blob top, iron pontil base with graphite reside intact, 10 sided, professionally cleaned to excellent condition - retains some light case wear but no chips/cracks. SOLD

12. S. S. / KNICKER / BOCKER / SODA / WATER pontil cobalt
    Cobalt blue glass, BIM with blob top, upward indented base with graphite pontil that still has the iron intact, 10-sided, height 7 3/4", cleaned to excellent condition - retains some spots of minor case wear but no chip/cracks. SOLD.

13. HENRY KUCK / SAVANNAH GA teal blue
    Deep teal blue glass (these are usually green), height 7 1/4", BIM with blob top and smooth base, has been professionally cleaned to excellent condition and retains a few light spots of case wear but no chips/cracks, embossing style slightly rarer with GA on same line as SAVANNAH (usually appears on separate line by itself), SOLD.

14. THOs. MAHER green pontil
    Deep emerald green glass, height 7 1/8", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base that still has the graphite residue intact, embossing is in rectangular slug plate, from Savannah GA, has been professionally cleaned to excellent condition and retains a few light spots of case wear but no chips/cracks. Nice colored/pontilled Savannah GA soda. SOLD.

    Deep emerald green glass, height 7", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base that has all the graphite residue still intact, embossing is in rectangular slug plate, from Savannah GA, circa 1850s, a dug bottle in excellent condition with some scuffing and light stain but no chips/cracks - a professional tumble would upgrade this one to a sparkling near mint example, For Sale $80 at Granddaddy's.

    Deep emerald green glass, height 7 1/8", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base, professionally cleaned to excellent condition with no chips/cracks but does retain some case wear, a shallow lip flake, and some ground swirls, SOLD.

    Sapphire/cobalt blue glass, height 7 1/4", BIM with tapered lip, iron pontil base that has upward indention, cleaned to almost near mint condition but does have one pinhole size open bubble on back of lip, circa 1850-60, a beautiful bottle, SOLD

22. J. SIMONDS / BOSTON / MINERAL WATER green Front Base
    Medium green glass, height 7 1/4", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base, has been tumbled which removed the iron residue from the pontil but left the bottle sparkling clean, retains a very slight bit of case wear but no chips/cracks/bruises, circa 1840-50, SOLD.

23. A.P. SMITH / CHARLESTON cobalt Front Base
    Cobalt blue glass, height 7 1/2", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base (some iron residue still intact), rare and crude variant of this southern soda from SC, has a small lip flake and overall dullness from being a dug bottle but no chips/cracks/bruises, a professional tumble would make it sparkle, circa 1840-50, SOLD.

24. I. SUTTON / CINCINNATI. cobalt
    Cobalt blue glass, height 7 5/8", BIM with blob top and iron pontil base (some iron residue still intact), rare soda that has been cleaned to just about perfect condition - only problem is small 1/4" flash on pontil base that may be result of manufacturing, circa 1840-50, SOLD.

25. TAYLOR & Co / VALPARAISO / CHILI / SODA / WATER green Front Pontil Base
    Emerald green glass, height 7 1/4", BIM with blob top and pontil base (no residue left), scarce soda that has been cleaned to just about perfect condition - only problem is two cooling checks - one on shoulder and other on base, circa 1850's, SOLD.

    Some history: Asher Taylor arrived in San Francisco in the early 1850's and owned or was employed at soda factories in both San Francisco and Sacramento until the late 1860's. This Taylor & co. soda was one of his mystery bottles. Records show that he made many trips to South America, And it is believed that on one of these trips he discovered a source for mineral water and had it bottled in these bottles. Possibly to be distributed at one of his western soda factories.

26. TORAM'S / T / 65 SOUTH St /PHILa Front Base
    Green glass with olive tone (unusual green for a blob soda), height 7", BIM with double tapered lip, iron pontil base is one of the crudest you'll ever see, long rectangular blank slug plate below "TORAM'S", professionally cleaned to excellent condition - retains some ground wear and has a 1/4" bruise on inside of the lip (most likely the result of ice pick being used to pry out the cork) but no chips/cracks, features a "bird swing" which is a strand of glass on the inside that runs from side to the base, a scarce Philly soda, Keeper.
